Fleas and ticks on your dogs and cats are NOT just irritating. If their numbers are not controlled, they can produce severe dermatitis and life threatening anaemia, particularly in young animals.
There is a wide range of safe, effective and environmentally friendly flea and tick control products available. These may be designed to be used on your pet, or in their environment. Generally, a combination of both approaches is most effective in reducing flea and tick numbers because although these parasites feed on your pets, much of their reproductive cycle occurs in your pet’s environment.
TAKE CARE when using flea and tick products on cats and be sure to read all instructions carefully prior to use. Cats metabolise many substances in a different way to dogs, and many topical products which are safe to use on dogs are toxic to cats and can produce fatal neurological changes.
